Welcome to the Participant HQ for the KidSport MOVE430 Challenge
On this page, we will post details that are helpful for spreading the word about the challenge, event information, fundraising tips and useful information to help ensure you're successful during the MOVE430 Challenge!
EVENT INFORMATION
MOVEMENT TRACKER
Your goal for the challenge is to have consistent movement for at least 30 minutes each day. Once you have completed your movement, you need to track your activity in the Daily Activity Tracker (link: https://tracker.move430.ca/). We recommend adding this to your favorites or home screen for easy access.
Sign in with the same email you used when you registered for the MOVE430 Challenge. Then you will receive an email with your login code which you only have to do once. If you forgot which email you used, please email us at info@move430.ca.
Remember to update your activity each day on the tracker to complete the challenge. Once you complete your activity, you have 72 hours to log it into the tracker.
NEED A DAY OFF?
We get it, sometimes life gets in the way of your best intentions. Don't let that stop you from completing the challenge. Simply purchase a day off ($20) from the MOVE430 store and it will cover you for that day. You will still need to log your day off in the tracker. Simply log in to the tracker and select Purchased Day off from the activities dropdown and you're covered for that day!
PRIZES AND HOW TO WIN
We have over $5000 dollars in prizes that have been donated by our generous sponsors to give away. Prizes include gift cards, adventures, events, health and wellness and so much more - there is something for everyone.
To be eligible for prize draws, you must keep your tracker up to date and you must complete the challenge in order to claim your prize. Any prizes that are unclaimed will be redrawn at the end of the month.
Daily prize winners will be announced in the daily emails! Each day we will be giving away one sponsor prize to one or more lucky winner(s).

OUR CAUSE
Your participation in the MOVE430 Challenge is about more than just improving your own health and fitness. It is about giving kids across BC the opportunity to experience everything that sport has to offer.
The reality is, cost keeps 1 in 3 Canadian kids out of organized sport, especially kids from marginalized or remote communities. That’s where KidSport comes in.
Through a confidential application process, KidSport provides grants to help cover the cost of sport registration fees so that all kids aged 18 and under can play a season of sport.
This year, we have added the option to donate or fundraise to the MOVE430 Challenge. Remember, you can donate online anytime or use your fundraising page to ask friends and family for support. Need some help? Check out our Fundraising Tips to get you started.
THE FINE PRINT
Prizes will be sent out or can be picked up after May 1, 2024, but you must complete the challenge to claim your prize. Any prizes awarded to participants that don’t complete the challenge will be re-drawn from eligible finishers on May 1, 2024.
All daily winners are chosen at random using a random name generator from participants who have completed and entered their MOVEment on the Daily Activity Tracker for the previous day.
MOVE430 FUNDRAISING TIPS
WARM-UP YOUR FUNDRAISING PAGE
Start by setting a fundraising goal. This will give you something to work towards and inspire supporters to contribute. Next, share why you are fundraising. Let your family and friends know why KidSport matters to you, that’s what they care about most!
GET THE BALL ROLLING
It’s always a good idea to get your fundraising off to a good start by making the first contribution. This will make others more likely to get involved.
START WITH YOUR CLOSE CONTACTS
It’s always best to start by asking your close contacts for support because they are the most likely to donate. Try sending some quick personal messages to your inner circle to build up some momentum.
MOVE ON TO SOCIAL MEDIA
Once you’ve sent your first batch of emails out, it’s time to turn to social media. One of the best strategies to use is tagging and thanking people that have already donated while you are asking for new donations. This spreads your message further and lets the people you are asking know that others are already getting behind you.
RE-ENGAGE WITH EMAIL
Don’t hesitate to send a few follow-up emails. Emails are easy to overlook and people often open them up quickly and then forget to go back to them. Use email to keep people up to date with your progress as you hit different milestones (50% raised, 75%raised, etc.) and ask supporters to help you hit the next milestone.
CONTINUE THANKING AND UPDATING SOCIAL MEDIA
As more of your network gets behind you, keep thanking them on social media and make sure you continue to share your progress towards your goal. Fundraising often takes a little creativity and persistence, but you can do it!
